One Life Participant Agreement
One Life sessions are run once a week for two hours at a time on a month-to-month basis, with no more than 10 participating members. The primary objective of this intense focus group is to create a supportive atmosphere for making and keeping resolutions leading to significant growth and self-improvement.
Our focus is on celebrating personal victories, handling screen time responsibly, sitting comfortably in stillness, and stretching beyond what you thought possible. As you commit to bringing all you’ve got to each session, you’ll be able to experience greater life enjoyment and self-fulfillment.
As you get started with One Life, you agree to hold in confidence everything that’s shared between members during sessions. You also agree to contribute to our overall mission in a respectful and encouraging manner.
One of the most satisfying aspects of your membership at One Life will be the deep connectedness you feel with other members of the group. You can expect to engage in facilitated discussions, report each week on how you’re doing with your chosen trajectory, and participate in creative activities and processes that are memorable, impactful and fun, such as drumming, finger painting, and Outdoor Explores.
The core assignment during the course of your membership involves taking on a Life Improvement Project. This project has to require deep, sustained focus on your part and needs to be something you’re deeply passionate about. Examples include training for an athletic event, mastering a handicraft technique, becoming proficient in another language or learning to play an instrument. Once you’ve identified your project, you’ll submit a form to your group leader for review and feedback before presenting the concept to the group. At that point, you’ll report to the group weekly on where you’re at and what setbacks or breakthroughs you’ve experienced. As soon as you’ve completed your project, you’ll report on the outcome to the group and be recognized for your effort through a unique and fun ceremony.
If a session is missed it cannot be made up and no refunds will be given, but you will be notified as to what took place on the day you were gone via email. Because sessions are paid for a month in advance, we recommend completing your membership with us at the end of a month. If that’s not possible, you can discontinue membership and be refunded for the portion remaining of that given month.
As a participant, you acknowledge that the staff at Tame Your Tech are not trained or licensed professionals. We’re not able to counsel or advise as therapists or psychologists might. Instead, we focus on asking insightful questions and making observations about what we notice during our time together.
